Ready to inoculate pre-filled 15mL slants for long term fungal culture storage!

“Slants” are centrifuge tubes filled with agar that has been slanted in order to provide surface area for mycelial colonization.

Our tubes are carefully filled to ensure precise volumetric consistency.

How to use: First assemble the tube rack (not included) after sanitizing the individual parts completely. Then fill the rack with the tubes so they are ready for inoculations. Fill each tube with your desired cultures and label them accordingly. The tubes have a designated area for labeling, and you can also use a label maker for a more durable and permanent label. Post inoculation reapply the lid and tighten fully, then loosen the lid back a quarter turn to allow for gas exchange. Allow the cultures to colonize the tube for 1-5 weeks with proper gas exchange. Upon full colonization repeat assembly procedure and wrap your tubes around the lid to provide a tight seal and barrier for the lid. Lastly, place your ready to store slant tube in a fridge and maintain low temperatures above freezing.
